Michael Cross - Bridge - More Information
Liked it 12:59am 1 review arts http://www.michaelcross.eu/morebridge...
"The Bridge is a series of steps which rise up out of the water in front of you as you walk from one to the next, and then disappear back underneath behind you as you go, leaving you stranded with only one step visible in front of you, and one behind. The bridge ends in the middle of the water, where you find yourself totally isolated and cut off from the shore. You return the way you came. The mixed feelings of peace, isolation, relaxation and fear that the piece elicits are powerful.

The project is on-going will ultimately lead to a permanent installation in a lake."

Read more about the bridge here. Now this is something I'd like an RSS feed for, or a text to tell me when and where.....

Peculiar travelling suggestions are dancing lessons from God ...

Picked up from Katherine Gehl's page. Vonnegut, non? Gehl is worth a listen, currently working on an album, but tracks dl'able from her MySpace if you are signed in.   (apparenty i am a member, which is almost certainly the result of a pinot grigio adventure)  Opening track had me thinking... hmm. Regina Spektor, Charlotte Gainsbourg. Not quite either of those, but she sits happily in that sort of space for me.

The Weepies ~ I have only recently discovered them, yet somehow it seems like they have always been there.

Achingly familiar, beautiful lyrics, gentle harmonies... you'd love them, dear.

*on repeat*

City Lights bookstore. To die for. I forced myself to spend a limited amount of time in there, headed for the Poetry Room and, once I had two books in my paws, forced myself to leave.

Had I not, I would be in there still......
